Projects in Motion

Nicholas Showers-Glover is an inmate in Spring Creek, a maximum security prison in Alaska. During his incarceration, he has been allowed to take a few of his fellow inmates and paint beautiful murals inside of the prison.
He began to see a need for more men to be taught the importance of expression through the arts. He is one of many talented artist found inside of a prison system, though some are not allowed to really express themselves in the healthiest of ways.
His vision is to take the style of prison art and its expression of pain and heartache and blend it with rebirth and beauty to bridge the gap between the way some of these men are seen, and the way they really are. Your support in his art work is furthering the quest to better the men leaving a prison system with resources that will help them become more successful citizens.
