A little about me and how I started my art journey

I always loved art and even took a class in high school. However, I put art on the back burner once I began having kids and working full time.

After moving from Oregon to Alaska, I was hired as a Correctional Officer at a men’s maximum-security prison. After a while, I found myself needing an outlet and a way to relax. 

I watched some videos, picked up a pencil, and my passion for art was re-kindled. 

One day at work, a prisoner mentor in the re-entry program mod I was posted in introduced me to “acrylic pours” and I was hooked.

I have experience in drawing, oil painting, acrylic painting, and of course, acrylic pouring.
